Omar AlSahlawi has graduated from KFUPM with a bachelor degree in Chemical engineering. His
career with Saudi Aramco started in 2011 where he covered various positions in Operations,
Maintenance, Engineering, Development and Projects Management in various Oil Producing
Departments at Saudi Aramco. Mr. AlSahlawi is currently the acting manager of Central Ghawar
Maintenance Services Division.
In terms of area of expertise, he has a deep interest and specialization in the Technologies
Development and Deployment, with a focus on Digitalization, IR 4.0, IoT and Al Solutions. He was
recognized in the field of Circular Economy and Technology of Saudi Aramco Sr. VP Award for
leading the successful field deployment of advanced AI technology.
He is a certified Maintenance and Reliability professional FE and PMP. He is a Saudi Council of
Engineers professional member as well as a member of GSMR, SPE, SMRP, and AIChE.
